Legislators learn from members about orthodontic practice and how potential legislation may impact their practices and patients.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Public Outreach<\/h3>\n<p>CAO ensures that policymakers, staff, and the media stay informed of the orthodontists&#8217; perspectives during public discussions about patient health and safety. Members have the opportunity to meet with their local legislative officials and share information about their practice and CAO\u2019s positions on legislation impacting patient health and safety.
